Well
here
we
are
again
Metal
Detecting
fans.
The
detoctorist
himself
along with a few pics.
So
with
winter
now
upon
us,
I've
turned
my
attention
to
more
indoor
endeavors and closer to home. Yeah... like in the garage.
Research
continues.
I've
purchased
several
aerial
photos
from
Natural
Recourses
of
select
detecting
sites.
These
photos
are
each
338.5
kb
in
size,
in
a
resolution
of
2038,
taken
from
2000
feet
up.
Wow.
Clear
pictures but it takes a while to download or send.
I
also
got
my
researcher
number
for
the
Manitoba
Archives
but
until
the
Covid
thing
cools
down,
there's
still
no
actual
physical
access.
Hopefully I'll get in come January.
I
have
been
able
to
make
contact
with
a
few
land
owners
just
east
of
Winnipeg
and
am
working
on
obtaining
Land
Owner
permissions
to
detect
on
a
few
more
homesteads.
It's
close
to
home
and
these
date
back to the 1890's. I hope to have access come May 2021.
You'll all be the first to know. Anyone wanting to come along?
With
a
little
help
from
Tess
and
online
shopping,
I
purchased
an
8"
bench
grinder
with
a
circular
wire
brush.
Heck
of
a
deal
on
Black
Friday. I've been using it to clean up restore choice metal items.
The
square
nails
and
the
horse
tack
came
out
really
nice
and
with
a
coat of oil, they will keep their look and not rust up again.

And
then
there's
the
guy
with
the
beard...
all
I
need
is
a
Wizard's
hat
and a wand and I could just conjure up the treasure eh!
